Brashear was on the road Friday for a baseball/softball double-header at LaPlata. The softball game kept the crowd on the edge of their seats as the game was tied 1-1, 2-2, 5-5, and finally 7-7 going into the bottom of the 6th inning. LaPlata came to bat and ended up scoring 5 runs to take a 12-7 win. Hannah Grissom homered and singled for Brashear, Alexa Higgins had a pair of doubles, Emily Mason and Atalie Hagan had 2 hits eack, and Tanna Garlock and Averi Acton also had hits. Acton got the start for Brashear with Hagan pitching in relief.

In the baseball game, Brashear couldn't get much going offensively, while LaPlata jumped out to a 5-0 lead after one inning. Brashear held LaPlata to a single run in the 2nd, but couldn't hold LaPlata in the third as the Bulldogs pulled away for a 15-0 win. Garrett Housman had Brashear's only hit. Levi Blankenship got the start with Colton Sayre and Brandon Jochemsin pitching in relief.
